Icon3201: South Beach, Miami

Labgfx has just completed a website for Icon3201, a South Beach, Miami condo with a magnificent view! The owner of Icon3201 is currently looking for prospective buyers! I’m sure a place like this will sell like hot-cakes. We wish him the best of luck with the sale and it was a pleasure!

I’m sure you’ve all noticed the Flickr widget on the right of the page, we’re showing off some photos that we like to look at. They randomize whenever the page refreshes, very soon we will begin posting photos concerning Labgfx! So stay tuned for more new photos in the near future!

A push towards the right direction

So here we are, Labgfx jumping onto the social-media bandwagon. None the less, we are here and that is the important thing, right? Well, not really. While browsing around the internet on my lunch break, I came across a blog called Citizen Agency; they’re a “consultancy that specializes in developing community-centric strategies around product research, design, development, and marketing.” I think I read almost every post on their blog during my then extended-lunch-break, and I genuinely felt something real from their blogs.

They had categories describing their adventures during their startup, news about what the team was getting into, events, and just how they’re progressing in general. It made me think for awhile about how Labgfx should present itself to the community. I knew we wanted a blog, but I thought of it only as a way of delivering key-messages, announcements, and client success stories.

On the other hand I’ve also read the blog posts concerning Dreamhost billing almost all of their customers 7.5 million dollars in total. They wrote about this catastrophic error in their blog and most of their customers took great offense by how they loosely and jokingly they responded to a critical problem.

All in all we decided will be using a certain level professionalism that people expect and a genuine realness that people like to hear, we’ve decided how to present our blog.

So… shifting my view on what should be a blog for a company; Labgfx is going to graciously follow in Citizen Agency’s footsteps. I greatly appreciate the knowledge the people over there have indirectly given me. Kudos and best of luck to you guys!

Behind the curtains, Labgfx.com

If you haven’t read the ‘fancy version’ of Who We Are on our main website, then let me tell you. Labgfx is at least a decade old idea. Time was definitely not always on our side, between determining careers, moving to another state, getting our college degrees, and working in the professional work force, Labgfx just never appeared until now. Theo and I have known each other approximately since 1995. Between the both of us we’ve had more ideas than a person knows what to do with.

Moving forward to the present day, we find ourselves overwhelmed with ambition, & determination. Between planning, writing, designing and launching our company website, working with pre-existing clients, and developing new ideas so we can expand, we’ve got our hands full with work. We’re going to make the best of this blog, and really communicate to the people.

We look forward to all of you who follow us in our ventures, as Labgfx progresses we will keep everyone who’s interested in our success (and/or failure) up to date as best as we can.
